Risk Measures on Orlicz Hearts

چکیده
Coherent, convex and monetary risk measures were introduced in a setup where uncertain outcomes are modelled by bounded random variables. In this paper, we study such risk measures on Orlicz hearts. This includes coherent, convex and monetary risk measures on L-spaces for 1 ≤ p < ∞ and covers a wide range of interesting examples. Moreover, it allows for an elegant duality theory. We prove that every coherent or convex monetary risk measure on an Orlicz heart which is real-valued on a set with non-empty algebraic interior is real-valued on the whole space and admits a robust representation as maximal penalized expectation with respect to different probability measures. We also show that penalty functions of such risk measures have to satisfy a certain growth condition and that our risk measures are Luxemburg-norm Lipschitz-continuous in the coherent case and locally Luxemburg-norm Lipschitz-continuous in the convex monetary case. In the second part of the paper we investigate cash-additive hulls of transformed Luxemburg-norms and expected transformed losses. They provide two general classes of coherent and convex monetary risk measures that include many of the currently known examples as special cases. Explicit formulas for their robust representations and the maximizing probability measures are given.

Convex Risk Measures for Càdlàg Processes on Orlicz Hearts
Our purpose is to study properties and representations of convex risk measures for possibly unbounded càdlàg processes. As the underlying space on which we define convex risk measures, we consider spaces of càdlàg processes whose supremum belongs to an Orlicz heart. In order to obtain concrete representations for such convex risk measures, we shall investigate representations of continuous line...
متن کاملDual Representation of Risk Measures on Orlicz Spaces
The objective of this paper is to present a comprehensive study of dual representations of risk measures and convex functionals defined on an Orlicz space L or an Orlicz heart H. The first part of our study is devoted to the Orlicz pair (L, L). In this setting, we present a thorough analysis of the relationship between order closedness of a convex set C in L and the closedness of C with respect...
متن کاملGood Deal Bounds Induced by Shortfall Risk
We shall provide in this paper good deal pricing bounds for contingent claims induced by the shortfall risk with some loss function. Assumptions we impose on loss functions and contingent claims are very mild. We prove that the upper and lower bounds of good deal pricing bounds are expressed by convex risk measures on Orlicz hearts. In addition, we obtain its representation with the minimal pen...
متن کاملAn Analytical Study of Norms and Banach Spaces Induced by the Entropic Value-at-Risk
This paper addresses the Entropic Value-at-Risk (EV@R), a recently introduced coherent risk measure. It is demonstrated that the norms induced by EV@R induce the same Banach spaces, irrespective of the confidence level. Three spaces, called the primal, dual, and bidual entropic spaces, corresponding with EV@R are fully studied. It is shown that these spaces equipped with the norms induced by EV...
متن کاملSome New Classes of Consistent Risk Measures
Many types of insurance premium principles and/or risk measures can be characterized by means of a set of axioms, which in many cases are rather arbitrarily chosen and not always in accordance with economic reality. In the present paper we generalize Yaari’s risk measure by relaxing his axioms. In addition, we derive translation invariant minimal Orlicz risk measures, which we call Haezendonck ...
